Well both the teams would try hard to add some points to the tally today. Both the teams have been inconsistent in this tournament. But between RSA and PAK, it has been RSA that has struggled from the word go. They never looked like a team that could win this WC or even cements a place in semifinals.
Batters have struggled big time, from top to bottom Dussen being the only exceptional case.
The bowling has also struggled to some extent and injury to some premium fast bowlers adding to the misery.
If RSA wants to beat PAK. They have to do the basic things right. Batsmen from top to bottom have to rise to the occasion. While bowlers have to back it up with right lengths
They bank on Rabada to do the job, so they need to find some alternatives as well.
On the other hand, Pakistan finds themselves in a similar situation. If they are to find a spot in semifinals then they need to win all the remaining games while keeping an eye on the net run rate.
The batsmen especially Imam, Babar, and Hafeez need to shoulder some responsibility from here onwards. And the rest of the batsmen also need to rise to the occasion.
In the bowling department, they have immense talent but not clicking at the right time. M. AMIR has been the only stand out thus far. Rest of them bowl inconsistently. Take for example the case of Wahab. We all know what he can do to the oppositions on a given day but then the next day he looks like an ordinary bowler, a complete contrast. So if Pakistan wants to beat RSA or for that matter any side, they have to be consistent both with the bat and the ball.
So now coming to the business end.
Who would prevail?
Well to me it is going to be 55:45 affair
55 in favour of RSA and 45 in favour of PAK.
Yes maybe a little surprising to many
But I believe RSA would prevail today.
Decock, Skipper and Dussen key in the batting department.
Rabada,Tahir and Ngidi in bowling department.
For Pakistan Imam, Babar and Hafeez in the batting department.
Aamir, Wahab, and Shadab in the bowling department.
Wc Match No. 30.
